Description:
The Academic Developer will work as part of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) team, within Library and Learning Services. The role involves providing expert advice, guidance, and consultancy for academic staff and other stakeholders across the university to support academic development. Responsibilities include designing, teaching, and assessing staff development programmes delivered both face-to-face and online, targeting academic staff, postgraduate students, and professional services colleagues. The post holder will coordinate activities and events to foster innovation, pedagogical research, and share best practice for learning and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide staff development opportunities at school, programme, and individual levels
Deliver advice, consultancy, and support to academic staff and stakeholders
Design, teach, and assess various staff development programmes both online and in-person
Develop and coordinate activities and events supporting innovation and pedagogical research
Promote best practices for learning and teaching across the university
