Description:
The University of Bradford is looking to appoint new Academic Skills Advisors. There are multiple positions available to work in our established Academic Skills Advice service. We would be willing to consider part-time working and we can accommodate a flexible approach to working hours subject to ensuring the student-needs are met.
We are seeking applicants who value collaborative working and can demonstrate a strong commitment to team working and communication.
You will be joining a small team with a remit across all programme and levels in the University. Our Academic Skills Advisors work closely with academic teams and a range of student support services to deliver responsive one-to-one and small group advice sessions as well as larger, planned, workshop-style delivery.
The role focuses on empowering students to become independent learners. As such we are keen to hear from individuals with strong advice, guidance, and facilitation skills who place inclusivity and widening participation at the heart of their approach to supporting students with their writing and study skills development.
Student facing provision is expected to be face-to-face and online, according to service needs. Therefore, confidence with blended learning and digital resource development is also a valuable asset.
