Description:

Frontiers, one of the world’s most cited academic publishers, is seeking an Institutional Partnerships Account Development Specialist to join their team in London, UK. As a key member of the Institutional Partnerships team, you will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with academic institutions, libraries, and research organizations to support and grow Open Access publishing initiatives.

In this hybrid, full-time role, you will independently manage a portfolio of institutional partners. Your tasks will include onboarding, renewals, reporting, and identifying upsell opportunities using data-driven insights. A deep understanding of scholarly publishing and communication is essential to drive engagement and deliver value to partners.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Publishing Partnerships, and Finance, ensuring data accuracy and relationship continuity. You'll also contribute to the development of internal SOPs, templates, and best practices, all while promoting the values of Open Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for institutional partners.

  • Oversee partner onboarding, renewals, and reporting processes.

  • Prepare data-driven proposals and identify upsell opportunities.

  • Maintain clean and accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) and internal tools.

  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless partner experience.

  • Support the improvement of tools, resources, and internal workflows.

  • Co-manage shared inbox and respond to internal and external queries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a relevant role.

  • Preferred background in Open Access, academic publishing, or university libraries.

  • Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).

  • Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce), Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and Excel.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Passion for Open Science and scholarly communication.
