Description:
Account Directors are the operational core of our client delivery. You will own the day-to-day running of complex mandates, translate strategic direction into execution, and lead the junior members of your team, all while developing your own analytical and advisory capabilities in preparation for the next step.
This is not a role for someone who prefers to wait for instructions. You will be expected to bring energy, ideas, and ownership to every mandate you touch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▸ Lead the day-to-day management of complex client accounts, with support from senior colleagues
▸ Lead research and analysis underpinning client strategies including in relation to dispute resolution, reputation management, and geopolitical influence
▸ Develop political, media, and opinion insights to inform strategic advisory approaches
▸ Design and execute strategic communications campaigns and influence initiatives
▸ Coordinate stakeholder engagement and outreach with decision-makers, advisors, and media
▸ Develop and mentor junior colleagues at Analyst and Account Manager levels
▸ Support senior leadership in client delivery, business development, and partnership-building across international markets
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has done enough to know what good looks like, and is hungry to do more. You will have solid experience and strong instincts, and you will be ready to step into a role with genuine responsibility, supported by but not dependent on the senior team around you.
Experience and Background
▸ A strong background in law, strategic communications, management consulting, diplomacy, public affairs, or a closely related field, ideally involving complex or sensitive mandates
▸ Cultural fluency and a global mindset, with comfort operating across jurisdictions and with international clients
▸ A track record of contributing to responses to complex, multi-jurisdictional issues spanning political, legal, and communications domains
▸ Relevant management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and support junior colleagues
▸ Experience coordinating stakeholder engagement or communications activity across international markets
▸ Exposure to dispute resolution, reputation management, or geopolitical advisory work is an advantage
Skills and Attributes
▸ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and develop clear, actionable insights
▸ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise briefs, intelligence reports, and presentations for senior audiences under time pressure
▸ A collaborative working style and genuine enjoyment of being part of a small, high-performing team
▸ High ethical standards and sound personal judgement, with an instinctive appreciation for sensitivity, discretion, and reputational risk
Qualifications
▸ Relevant undergraduate degree (law, politics, economics, international relations, history, or a related discipline); a postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not required
