Gallagher, a globally recognized leader in insurance and risk management, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Charity Account Executive to join its Care and Charity Division in Birmingham. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about building strong client relationships, providing expert insurance advice, and driving business growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Charity Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing relationships with assigned clients, advising them on insurance programs and risk management strategies tailored to meet their unique needs. The position involves close collaboration with Account Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance with regulations, and the achievement of growth and retention goals.
You will act as the primary contact for your portfolio, conducting client meetings, reviewing claims experiences, and identifying new business opportunities. This role also involves presenting terms, negotiating renewals, and providing detailed reports to clients, while ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and Gallagher policies.
The role offers a hybrid working model, combining home-based work with regular office attendance, and requires occasional travel to client sites and other Gallagher offices.
Serve as the main contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong relationships and understanding their insurance and risk management needs.
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities to enhance revenue through insurance programs and related services.
Collect, review, and maintain client risk information including fact finds, survey reports, and claims data.
Assist in broking activities, liaise with underwriters, and manage internal/external queries.
Present renewal and new business terms, secure client instructions, and support Account Managers with closings.
Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and Gallagher’s internal policies, reporting any complaints, errors, or omissions.
Keep updated on industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with claims, risk management, and marketing teams where necessary.
Provide coaching and share knowledge to support team development.
Strong understanding of insurance principles, risk types, and niche sectors.
Knowledge of insurance laws and their implications on client advice.
Exceptional planning, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to identify client needs, negotiate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in MS Office, with familiarity in Acturis and Gallagher systems (training available).
Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to achieve Cert CII qualification (minimum) and pursue higher insurance qualifications.
Eligible to work in the UK, with flexibility to travel when required.
