Job Description:
The role involves leading a programme of improvement and evolution in the account management service, working closely with various teams to improve water company performance and reduce environmental impact. The focus is on fostering strategic alignment, consistency, and decision-making across this customer group. You will also be responsible for building relationships and understanding governance within the water industry regulatory framework. The role requires strong leadership, programme management skills, and the ability to drive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a programme of continuous improvement and product development.
  • Influence and lead teams to achieve goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and negotiations across various business levels.
  • Manage and present data and solutions effectively.
  • Understand the environmental pressures and regulations impacting the water industry.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in an environmental discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of water company regulation and the environmental challenges facing the industry.
  • Experience in programme and project management.

Contract Length:
Up to 31st December 2025.

Application Process:
Applications are assessed based on competency answers. Interviews will be held in January 2025 via MS Teams. You may be placed on a reserve list for 6 months.

Additional Info:
You may be required to complete training in incident management. Travel and overnight stays may be required occasionally. The Environment Agency supports flexible working arrangements.
