An opportunity to join the recently created SME Account Sales Enterprise Team to engage, retain and grow our Corporate, mid-sized Customers and Industry specialised. This is a phone-based role for an experienced Account Sales Manager using their strong sales and relationship management skills. The SME segment continues to be a key growth engine of American Express Global Commercial Services and as such is a critical part of the strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with customers to achieve profitable growth across a large portfolio of +250 accounts
  • Creating and executing account strategies to uncover opportunities
  • Proactively manage an effective sales pipeline, identify and prioritise opportunities that support goal achievements
  • Challenging our customers' existing processes and acting as a consultant, recommending suitable solutions that support with achieving their business goals
  • Ensuring customers are supported to self-service so the successful candidate can focus on strategic activities
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment, to influence, collaborate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally with a clear focus on executing growth
  • Ensuring premium value is delivered that aligns with clients goals, delivers a positive customer experience and achieves customer advocacy
  • Consistently add value to the Customer's programme and ensure an effective and smooth transition from acquisition to account development
