Description:
A multinational green energy infrastructure group, based in central London, is hiring an Accounting Officer on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and dynamic finance team within a company focused on sustainability and renewable energy. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient and capable of handling both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up new vendors, manage supplier records, and ensure timely reconciliations
Process purchase invoices in compliance with internal controls, coding accurately
Oversee staff expenses and reconcile company credit cards
Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Generate and review payment runs per schedule
Respond to supplier queries and maintain strong vendor relationships
Assist with audits and internal reconciliations
Raise accurate sales invoices and ensure timely customer billing
Monitor receivables, follow up on outstanding debts, and manage credit control
Conduct credit checks and set appropriate limits for new customers
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
Resolve invoice disputes and collaborate with internal teams and clients
Produce aged debt reports and support cash flow forecasting
Role Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role (Accounts Payable/Receivable)
Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central (MBC) is an advantage
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently
