Description:

S&P Global is seeking a Director – Mergers, Acquisitions & Investments to join its Corporate Development team, reporting directly to the Head of M&A and Strategic Investments. As part of a close-knit team of directors, this role is pivotal in leading corporate development initiatives for a global organization with over $14 billion in revenue and 42,000+ employees worldwide.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in managing end-to-end M&A transactions, from sourcing and valuation to due diligence and integration. This position offers a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where business acumen, interpersonal skills, and financial modeling expertise are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of merger, acquisition, and investment deals across all stages of the deal lifecycle

  • Oversee coordination of workstreams to ensure timely and favorable completion of transactions

  • Perform rigorous business analysis to identify viable acquisition targets and strategic opportunities

  • Build, manage, and interpret complex financial and valuation models

  • Coordinate valuation inputs from key internal stakeholders including synergy analysis

  • Manage due diligence processes involving internal and external stakeholders

  • Maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities and support deal sourcing efforts

  • Develop strategic relationships within the industry and across global teams

  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and implement corporate best practices

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in M&A from investment banking, strategy consulting, or corporate development

  • Proven expertise in managing deal processes and communicating strategic rationale effectively

  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, PowerPoint, and stakeholder communications

  • Experience leading diverse teams in a matrixed, global organization

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to simplify complex financial concepts

  • Ideally, experience working within or with publicly listed global organizations

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid; 2–3 days per week required in S&P Global’s London or New York office
