Description:

The Southbank Centre, Europe’s largest arts centre and a leading UK cultural institution, is currently seeking an Administration and Events Coordinator to join its Visual Arts team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support both internal and external programming and events, maintaining crucial administrative functions for the department while playing a key role in event coordination.

The successful candidate will be a central support figure in the Visual Arts team, responsible for delivering smooth and impactful reputational and public programme events, while upholding Southbank Centre’s values of inclusivity, innovation, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage budgets for private views, dinners, and reputational events

  • Lead the planning and execution of public programme events

  • Maintain and update Visual Arts contact and invitation lists using the Tessitura CRM system

  • Work closely with the Deputy Director and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of events and processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships across departments and with external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated administrative capabilities, with a methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate approach

  • Flexible, collaborative, and positive work ethic

  • Experience using Tessitura CRM (desirable but not essential)
