Description:
AI and Education Specialist
This is a fixed term appointment until 31 July 2028
The AI and Education Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic community to integrate AI effectively into their teaching practice. Working alongside the AI and Education Fellowship programme and an existing AI and Education Specialist who focusses on supporting the AI Fellows, this role will support and facilitate the sharing of AI approaches at the discipline and cognate discipline level. Reporting to the Head of the Digital Skills Lab, with a dotted line to the Head of the Digital Education Futures and Deputy Director of the Eden Centre, the post-holder will work directly with individual academics and disciplinary groups across LSE, providing tailored, context-specific support to develop AI approaches that meet their particular teaching and assessment needs. This includes supporting course redesign, facilitating the adoption of innovative teaching methods, and commissioning technical work when needed.
The successful candidate will contribute to strategic and practical guidance on using artificial intelligence technologies to augment teaching and learning, collaborating closely with academic staff, experts across the School, and external providers. This role requires a proactive, innovative, and collaborative approach to embedding new digital tools in education and fostering a dynamic community of practice.
