Description:
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Ambulance Dispatchers to join the Emergency Operations Centre in Bristol. The role is integral to the 999 control room team, responsible for the effective deployment and management of Trust vehicles for emergency and non-emergency calls across the Trust area.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage emergency and non-emergency vehicles effectively
Operate within a 24/7 rota, covering nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Communicate clearly and tactfully under pressure
Work calmly in high-pressure emergency situations
Requirements:
4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English (or equivalent)
Good keyboard skills and oral communication
Ability to work tactfully, diplomatically, and under pressure
Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7 service
