Hunter Bond is hiring a Trading Applications Support Engineer to join a global FinTech trading firm based in London. The role involves providing L1 and L2 production support for proprietary and third-party trading platforms within a fast-paced commodities trading environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about financial markets, trade execution, and technical troubleshooting.

You’ll be responsible for real-time issue resolution and will act as the key liaison between trading teams, brokers, developers, and operations. This role offers a dynamic, high-impact position in the heart of trading operations, giving you the chance to work with a variety of asset classes and cutting-edge trading tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for EMEA trading desks

• Troubleshoot trade processing and real-time connectivity issues

• Manage incidents and assist in change management processes

• Streamline and automate support functions where feasible

• Onboard and manage trading users, including permissions and configurations

• Provide platform training and support for risk and trade platforms

• Collaborate with development teams, external vendors, brokers, and risk managers

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a Trading Support or Business Analyst role in a financial institution (buy-side/sell-side/trading firm)

• Familiarity with commodities platforms (Trayport, WebICE, TT)

• Strong SQL skills for query analysis and data troubleshooting

• Good understanding of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments

• Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Java) and APIs (HTTP/REST)

• Exposure to multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, Credit, Equity Derivatives, and Cash

• Familiarity with risk and back-office tools (e.g., OpenLink, Imagine, Bloomberg, Reuters)

• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and sense of ownership
