Description:
A tech-driven proprietary trading firm is looking to expand its Application Support team and is seeking an experienced engineer to provide support for proprietary and third-party trading systems. This highly technical role will focus heavily on automation, ensuring the smooth functioning of the trading platform and working closely with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
Ensure the readiness of the global trading platform for both pre-trading and post-trading activities.
Monitor and support the entire transaction flow across the trading platform.
Quickly identify, analyze, and resolve alerts and issues, or escalate them to minimize disruptions and prevent outages.
Collaborate with the trading community, back office operations, brokers, exchanges, development teams, and infrastructure teams.
Supervise automated processes, scheduled jobs, and routine reports.
Create tooling and automate processes to optimize workflows and address inefficiencies.
Work closely with Dev and Infrastructure teams to coordinate and participate in software and version releases.
The right candidate will have the following:
3+ years of experience supporting front office applications and trading systems.
Strong scripting/development skills in Python.
Solid understanding of Linux OS.
Experience with SQL.
Experience with KDB is a plus.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
