Architectural Technician

Blue Diamond Recruitment is collaborating with a renowned architectural practice specialising in residential development to recruit a skilled and motivated Architectural Technologist / Technician. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from bespoke dwellings for local builders to large-scale housing schemes for regional developers.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in producing layout designs, planning drawings, and detailed working drawings, while also contributing to project coordination, mentoring junior staff, and liaising with clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Amend standard house type working drawings and produce fully detailed bespoke apartment block designs.

• Prepare site technical layouts based on planning drawings, including conveyance plans for legal requirements.

• Provide bespoke detailing for houses and apartment blocks to ensure seamless on-site delivery.

• Mentor and assist junior team members in their professional development.

• Liaise with external consultants, clients, and internal teams to deliver fully coordinated residential schemes.

• Conduct site visits and attend meetings as required.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture 2025 and MS Office 365 is essential.

• Strong understanding of current Building Regulations, Future Homes Standards, and NDSS requirements.

• Knowledge of M4(2), M4(3) accessibility standards and Part B regulations for apartment blocks.

• Proven experience working on multiple residential schemes, including houses and apartments.

• Proactive, organised, and methodical approach with strong communication skills.

• Enthusiastic, confident, and eager to progress in a dynamic team environment.
