Area Security Officer

Description:

The Fitting Craft Trainer will deliver initial and refresher training across ScottishPower’s business units, focusing primarily on electrical distribution fitting. The role is responsible for developing training plans, delivering high-quality and safe training, evaluating programs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support technical training needs analysis across the business

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate internal and external customer training programs

• Support product/technique development and operational safety programmes

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation

• Review and monitor training delivery methods to maintain quality

• Achieve training objectives and ensure effective learning solutions

• Provide expertise for operational safety, engineering standards, and processes

Qualifications:

• Recognised fitting craftsman background

• Expertise in switchgear installation, plant maintenance, protection systems

• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and electrical authorisation policies

• Understanding of ScottishPower business processes (preferred)
