Description:

The Department of Educational Studies is one of Goldsmiths’ largest departments, with a track record in impactful research and a range of thriving programmes, from primary and secondary Initial Teacher Education to postgraduate, undergraduate and doctoral programmes.

The Department has a unique and interdisciplinary focus on issues of identity and social justice; learning for multilingual and multicultural communities in disadvantaged urban contexts; the arts and learning including visual art education, drama education and children’s literature in education.

In addition, it has a strong involvement in ‘School Direct’ Initial Teacher Education (ITE), working with primary and secondary schools, as well as four thriving School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) partnerships.

About the role

Reporting to: Artsmark Senior Project Officer (role currently being recruited)

Following a public tender process, Goldsmiths, University of London has been appointed as Arts Council England’s delivery partner for Artsmark until June 2026 (with a possible extension to June 2027). This large-scale project involves developing and delivering support and training in thousands of schools across England, supporting them to achieve the Artsmark award.
