We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the INEOS Acetyls team in Hull. We need highly motivated individuals who want to be part of our growing business.

You will be based at the Hull site, which is the largest producer of acetic acid, acetic anhydride and ethyl acetate in Europe. The products we produce are essential building blocks used in almost every industry, including renewable power, automotive, pharmaceuticals, coatings and textiles.
Hull is also home to the business's global Technology Development and Support Team and is based on the 370-acre Saltend Chemicals Park - a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses at the heart of the UK's energy estuary.

What we offer
Key accountabilities
o Champions the INEOS 20 Safety Principles.
o Produce Management Information reports including but not limited to; CAPEX, fixed costs, variable costs for Actuals, Forecast and Budget
o Prepare clear and concise commentary to explain month end variances for the ETAC Controller to include in the submission to the Central team.
o Lead the cash flow management and forecasting for the EtAc business working with the EtAc Controller, EtAc Business Manager, Treasury Analyst and various other stakeholders
o Provide in depth cash flow commentary on weekly variances to ensure efficient cash management.
o Responsible for expense postings, income accruals, logistics costs, inventory and lease journals.
o Raise intercompany invoices for services and interest charges to support monthly closing.
o Perform general ledger reconciliation on a monthly/quarterly basis, clearing reconciling items timely.
o Ensure intercompany balances and transactions are resolved timely with counterparties.
o Support statistical and compliance reporting to local government/authorities.
o Provide reports to support management information and performance reporting as required by the business stakeholders and business finance team.
o Assist with the statutory reports, annual audit and tax package reports for the ETAC business. Support other month end closing related activities in response to the business/organisation/process change, including activities performed by the ETAC Controller in their absence.
o Prepare and submit VAT returns and Intrastat data for IMHL and IEAG by monthly deadlines.
o Administer and post leases using the Nakisa software in-line with IFRS 16 for IMHL and IEAG.
o Upload monthly financials to the group reporting tool (Hyperion) and reconcile any intercompany balances.
o Any other finance duties as they arise.
