About The Role

As an Assistant Asset Engineer [Structures], you will:
 

• Support the application of asset management processes in line with functional policies to achieve financial and performance targets.
• Schedule examinations, inspections and assessments of assets, ensuring reports are reviewed and appropriate mitigation measures are progressed.
• Specify and prioritise actions arising from defects, inspections and other technical reports for inclusion in work plans.
• Undertake engineering analysis and risk assessments to support asset management activities, business cases and whole-life cost assessments.
• Monitor asset condition, capability trends and failure data to support maintenance, renewal and risk mitigation planning.
• Support the development of enhancement schemes and manage interfaces with network capability programmes.
• Determine mitigation actions required to reduce the impact of adverse weather on asset performance.
• Maintain accurate asset data and information within company systems.
• Provide engineering support and contribute to incident investigations.
• Review proposals from internal and external stakeholders to identify potential risks, conflicts or opportunities.
• Monitor project development and support design approval and certification processes.
