Description:

Galliford Try, a leading UK-based construction group, is hiring an Assistant Bid Manager to join their Facilities Management division. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects while contributing to the bid management process, ensuring high-quality tender submissions and pre-contract support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analysing PQQ and tender documents, resourcing and managing the bid team

  • Organize and support tender review meetings, reporting to Business Unit Directors

  • Enhance FM bids and tender opportunities by integrating pre-contract strategies

  • Provide insights on contractual and commercial developments, focusing on risk mitigation

  • Support FM management post-award by initiating client relationships and attending pre-commencement meetings

  • Develop compelling bid content using frameworks like NOSE, AI, and other industry tools

  • Contribute to procurement strategy planning and risk optimization

  • Assist with site audits to ensure commercial control standards are met

  • Provide commercial/contractual feedback data to the Pre-Construction team

  • Collaborate across departments for consistent communication and objective alignment

  • Prepare narrative and tabular reports highlighting project commercial and contractual positions

  • Support accurate financial reporting focused on turnover projections and cash flow

  • Promote conduct and performance standards across the bid process

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to deliver winning bids


About You:

  • Prior bid management experience within the construction sector

  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities under deadline pressure

  • Inquisitive, collaborative, and creative with a flair for high-quality content

  • Understanding of work-winning strategies and differentiation in proposals

  • Likely degree-qualified, preferably in a writing-intensive field

  • Willing and able to travel across the UK

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing tools

  • Adaptable and comfortable handling dynamic project requirements
