Assistant Brand Manager Marketing

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Brand Manager to join our marketing team. Assisting with the development and implementation of our brand marketing campaigns and promotions, the role will have a focus on shopper marketing in the off trade

Working across the St Austell Brewery portfolio of brands, the wide-ranging marketing role will focus on engaging our target consumers through a range of on and offline promotions, partnerships and incentives and in-store activities. Working closely with the sales teams (so plans are aligned) you’ll play a key role in making sure our brands are front of mind. The role also includes supporting the brand manager with the promotion of key sponsorships.

We have recently undertaken a restructure of our marketing department, aimed at continuing to support the growth of St Austell Brewery. That's why we're investing in building a strong team of experts who will work together to create innovative and effective campaigns that will drive growth and build our brand.

 

What will the job entail day to day - and what will you be responsible for?

  • Support with the development and implementation of the agreed brand marketing plan; with a focus on the off trade, drive campaign initiatives and develop relevant assets (in-store, point of sale etc).
  • Support with the delivery of key retailer plans ensuring assets are created in time and support with the activation of our brands in store e.g. sampling.
  • Support with the maintenance of key supermarket digital platforms e.g. Brandbank to ensure our brands have up to date photography and tasting notes.
  • Assist with the measurement and reporting of brand performance during and after marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with media buying and build and deliver above-the-line advertising campaigns under the direction of the brand manager.
  • In collaboration with the digital marketing team, deliver annual plans which support key skus and retailers.
  • Assist the brand manager with key campaign deliverables e.g. photography shoots, advertising, on-pack promotions or partnerships. Be proactive and help generate brand specific PR (in collaboration with the comms team).
  • Assist with the marketing of key brand partnerships, sponsorships and ambassadors – spanning PR, digital, social and branding. Support the brand manager with analysing, reporting and planning ahead for the relevant brands. Help coordinate consumer research and customer feedback to inform the direction of the portfolio, brand plans and to identify new opportunities for future growth.
  • Manage set budgets and pay a key role to help keep campaigns and promotions within budget and on deadline.

 

 

About you:

  • Organised and methodical– confidently able to support with the creation and delivery of marketing campaigns across a range of on and offline channels.
  • Problem solver with personal drive, excellent story-telling skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at ones.
  • Solid understanding of the media landscape – a sound digital understanding is a given.
  • Team player with well-developed people and skills – listens to others, actively contributes and shows commitment to building relationships within the team and wider business.
  • A passion for brand building.
  • Experience as a marketing assistant / coordinator role (or similar).
  • A passion for the beer and drinks industry. FMCG, food or drink industry experience a bonus.
  • Proven experience developing and helping implement marketing and brand plans.
  • Advertising experience – booking, creative planning and reporting. Proven experience creating presentations.
