Assistant Commercial Accountant

We are now recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Accountant to join our Telecoms Finance team on an interim basis, initially lasting for around 6 months. This role requires an adaptable individual with strong fundamentals but also a proactive mindset to a add value.

The Assistant Commerical Accountant will be expected to take the lead on the Falcon contract finance processes, analysis and reporting as well as playing a key supporting role to our Commerical and Operations teams.

Key functions of the role will be:

• Managing the month end process to ensure all contract codes are submitted to agreed time frames

• Monthly update of the Contract’s End Life Forecasts (ELF) with actuals and forecasted changes.

• Assisting the Contract leads with the quarterly forecast process and populating the templates for system loading

• Supporting the Commercial team with WIP and Cashflow analysis

• Interrogating the ledger details with Commercial and Operational teams to understand the nature of costs and post the chances where needed.

• You are working towards an ACCA/CIMA qualification or newly qualified
• You understand Project Accounting Principles
• Are competent in using the Microsoft Office package, in particular Excel
• Able to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
• Can understand complex datasets to provide straight to the point analysis
