Description:
Galliford Try is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join their Facilities Management Business, supporting operations across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in facilities management, school maintenance, or construction who can work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
Provide administrative support using Galliford Try systems (e.g., Concept-based programs).
Assist with site hazard spotting, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
Act as a point of contact for the project and liaise with client staff and representatives.
Ensure health, safety, and security measures are upheld across all sites.
Maintain asset registers and ensure project assets comply with statutory obligations.
Monitor service delivery standards and respond to stakeholder needs.
Assist with site inspections, audits, and contractor management.
Support the Project Manager in ensuring works are completed within set timeframes.
Deputise for the Project Manager and other Assistant Facilities Managers when required.
✅ Enhanced DBS check required
✅ Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
✅ Full UK driving license (travel between sites required)
✅ Previous FM/school maintenance experience (essential)
✅ Construction experience (desirable but not required)
✅ Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and problem-solve effectively
✅ A self-starter with a proactive attitude and commitment to customer service
