Assistant Facilities Manager

Description:

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join their Facilities team, with primary responsibility for managing porters and portering supervisors. This pivotal role involves ensuring that the portering service is safe, responsive, high-quality, and aligned with Trust and departmental policies. The post-holder will also provide support for other facilities services as needed and assist the Facilities Manager in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the portering team, including porters and supervisors

• Support and implement an electronic porter tracking system and lead change management initiatives

• Ensure all Trust and departmental policies are adhered to within the facilities team

• Provide operational support for other services within the facilities team as required

• Contribute to maintaining a safe, proactive, and responsive environment for patients, staff, and visitors
