Assistant Hall Manager

 

Description:

The University of Nottingham is seeking experienced, customer-focused, and enthusiastic individuals to join their Halls Management team as Assistant Hall Managers. These roles support Hall Managers in the day-to-day operations of busy student Halls of Residence, ensuring high-quality service and efficient management of accommodation and housekeeping functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and organising student accommodation and housekeeping operations.

  • Carry out administrative and operational duties to maintain high standards of service throughout the student journey.

  • Ensure adherence to University policies, codes of practice, and Health & Safety regulations.

  • Conduct service and operational audits as required.

  • Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a similar role or environment.

  • Strong planning, organisational, and administration skills.

  • Demonstrated resource management experience.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly on a rota pattern covering shifts between 8am–8pm (36.25 hours per week). Compressed hours are available.
