Assistant Management Accountant

Description:

You will assist the Business Planning & Treasury Manager with the delivery of an efficient and effective management accounts service to the development & regeneration directorate. To build strong working relationships with key individuals and provide financial support to budget holders by providing robust financial information and variance analysis.

You will support the Business Planning & Treasury Manager with the delivery of all business planning, treasury services, cash flow reporting and financial appraisals for development schemes within the finance function, ensuring value for money is achieved and delivering services that meet the needs of our residents and communities.

Specifically, the Assistant Management Accountant will:

• Assist the Business Planning and Treasury Manager on cash management for the association by ensuring sufficient cash balances are maintained to support the association’s business aims and timely investments are made that adhere to the treasury policy
• Support the Business Planning and Treasury Manager in the preparation of the Treasury & Development Meetings and maintaining the action log
• Assist the Business Planning & Treasury Manager in providing financial & information analysis services and support to non-financial budget holders
• Assist the Business Planning & Treasury Manager in the production of the annual financial statements and ensure all statutory requirements are complied with
• Be responsible in contributing to regular and ad hoc business projects which are relevant to or have an impact on the finance function
• Assist managers across the development & regeneration directorate to manage a range of financial projects, drafting plans, undertaking financial analysis/modelling, developing relevant evaluation methods, and managing the engagement with key individuals
• Have a minimum AAT Level 3 Foundation level ACCA/CIMA
