Assistant Project Manager

Description:

Our North Advisory team is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy and are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for a variety of project management activities across infrastructure and energy sector projects and associated innovative technologies supporting net-zero ambitions.

Our Advisory service offering includes an increasingly diverse Project Management capability offering PMO, Project Controls, design integration, and strategic delivery advice to clients in the Energy, Water, Transport, and Science and Industry sectors.

The North region with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle and Stockton is engaged with the wider Arup network, delivering projects in a diverse range of market sectors. The individual will be closely networked with Arup’s national project managment and energy teams and will have access to a breadth and depth of specialist expertise

The successful individual will support consulting and advisory services for public and private sector clients across the infrastructure and energy market, with a particular focus on Project Management supporting the following areas; Project Execution Planning, Project status reporting, Change Control, Project Management Office activities, Programme management, Risk management, Cost management & Contract management

You also will support as appropriate on a range of business development activities including preparation of tender submissions and strategy development

• A Degree in a related scientific, engineering, project management or other subject
• Working towards chartership from a recognised institution
