As an Assistant Store Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing leadership and inspiration to the team, ensuring they reach their full potential each day and fostering an environment where colleagues can excel.
  2. Leading and motivating your team in alignment with our Leadership & Company Principles.
  3. Cultivating a conducive work environment that enables colleagues to deliver their best work.
  4. Maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the store and serving as the main point of contact for customer inquiries.
  5. Overseeing and managing deliveries, supervising the checkout area, and monitoring store performance.
  6. Ensuring compliance with legal and company health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines to meet store performance goals.
  7. Taking independent charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a fast-paced setting, ideally in a previous role as an Assistant Store Manager within a food and beverage grocer *NB*.
  2. Proficiency in time management, delegation, and problem-solving.
  3. Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills to provide constructive feedback to colleagues for their personal development and store improvement.
  4. Enthusiasm and motivation to support and inspire the team during each shift.
  5. Determination to complete tasks within specified timelines, achieve store targets, and maximize productivity.
  6. Previous experience in monitoring, managing, and enhancing key performance indicators.
  7. Experience within a food or retail outlet.
