As an Assistant Store Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and inspiration to the team, ensuring they reach their full potential each day and fostering an environment where colleagues can excel.
- Leading and motivating your team in alignment with our Leadership & Company Principles.
- Cultivating a conducive work environment that enables colleagues to deliver their best work.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the store and serving as the main point of contact for customer inquiries.
- Overseeing and managing deliveries, supervising the checkout area, and monitoring store performance.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and company health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines to meet store performance goals.
- Taking independent charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a fast-paced setting, ideally in a previous role as an Assistant Store Manager within a food and beverage grocer *NB*.
- Proficiency in time management, delegation, and problem-solving.
- Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills to provide constructive feedback to colleagues for their personal development and store improvement.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to support and inspire the team during each shift.
- Determination to complete tasks within specified timelines, achieve store targets, and maximize productivity.
- Previous experience in monitoring, managing, and enhancing key performance indicators.
- Experience within a food or retail outlet.
