Description:
The Integration and Solution Architect role at Cameron Kennedy is a senior, strategic position within a leading recruitment firm specializing in banking technology. This role is pivotal in shaping and driving the bank's technology architecture by designing and managing complex integration solutions that connect diverse systems, applications, and services.
You will collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, including business leaders, software engineers, data engineers, and DevOps teams, to ensure that integration efforts not only meet current business needs but also align with long-term enterprise goals. Your expertise will help the bank enhance operational efficiency, security, and scalability of its technology infrastructure.
Architectural Design & Strategy:
You will lead the creation of high-level architectural designs and solution blueprints that define how different banking systems integrate seamlessly. This includes developing comprehensive integration strategies that align with regulatory requirements, security policies, and the bank’s business objectives.
Integration Implementation & Management:
Oversee the end-to-end implementation of integration projects using middleware platforms, APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies (public, private, SaaS). You will ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and maintain high availability.
Technical Leadership & Advisory:
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to internal stakeholders, providing guidance on complex integration challenges. Mentor development teams by sharing best practices and architectural principles to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Continuously review existing integration points to identify and implement improvements. Lead problem-solving efforts for complex technical issues that affect system reliability or performance.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Produce detailed architecture documentation, including technical diagrams, process workflows, and specifications. Conduct training sessions and workshops to disseminate integration knowledge across teams.
Roadmap Development:
Define and execute an integration roadmap that supports evolving business needs, regulatory changes, and emerging technology trends.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
At least 7 years of experience driving technology transformations in the banking sector, specifically with integration projects.
Deep understanding of integration patterns, middleware solutions, and cloud technologies.
Relevant certifications are highly desirable, such as Microsoft Azure or Software AG.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, supporting continuous delivery and automation.
Strong problem-solving skills combined with a strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders.
