Description:
Capita Local Public Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Building Control Inspector to help shape the future of safer, more sustainable buildings across the UK. In this home-based role, you will provide technical expertise and statutory building control services on a variety of commercial and domestic construction projects. From pre-application meetings to site inspections and compliance assessments, your work will influence the safety, functionality, and sustainability of the built environment in alignment with the new Building Safety Regime.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver all core building control services, including pre-application assessments, site inspections, and plan checking
Engage in external contracts and growth-focused projects
Make informed decisions under the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010, and the new Building Safety Regime
Collaborate with partner agencies and authorities to ensure high standards and regulatory compliance
Promote and cross-sell building control and related services
Maintain accurate records within building control software and operate in compliance with quality management systems
Candidate Requirements:
Significant experience in building control, surveying, design, or construction project management
Deep knowledge of current UK building control legislation and guidance
Proficient in administering various types of building regulation applications
Skilled in IT systems and building control software
Chartered or working towards chartered status with CABE, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
