Associate Climate Change Consultant will play a key role in the establishment, growth and technical delivery of the climate discipline within a relatively new and expanding service offering. The role is suited to an experienced consultant with strong technical capability, a proven consultancy track record and a clear commercial focus, able to help shape a high-quality, client-facing climate advisory service within a multidisciplinary development consultancy. Our Climate Air and Noise team are based in Manchester, however this role can be based at any of our offices.

What We Are Looking For

You will support clients across the development lifecycle, helping them understand, manage and respond to climate-related risks, carbon impacts, regulatory requirements and opportunities for more resilient, future-proofed development. Working closely with planning, design, environmental, transport, infrastructure and wider technical teams, the role will combine robust technical delivery with practical, commercially aware advice that helps unlock development potential and create long-term value.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
 

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in climate change, environmental science, sustainability, carbon management, engineering, planning, built environment or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status with a relevant professional body would be advantageous such as ISEP (previously IEMA), CEnv or an equivalent professional route.
  • Demonstratable consultancy experience in climate change, carbon sustainability, environmental planning or a closely related discipline.
