Associate Director

Description:

OSTTRA, a market leader in post-trade processing for derivatives, is seeking a Product Analysis and Design Associate Director to join its London office. The successful candidate will contribute to product and platform development for OSTTRA’s Trade Processing systems—MarkitWire, Trade Manager, and TradeServ—across Rates, Credit, and Equities asset classes.

In this high-impact role, you will engage with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders, including Development, QA, Operations, Clients, Clearing Houses, Venues, and Trade Repositories. Your responsibilities will span product analysis, user story development, functional specifications, stakeholder coordination, testing, and UX contribution in an Agile or Waterfall environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering, structured analysis, and stakeholder communication

• Author user stories or functional specifications and liaise with Development and QA teams

• Conduct gap analysis, solution design, and option assessments for business and technical requirements

• Participate in product acceptance testing and review of test cases

• Present product concepts clearly to diverse audiences

• Manage global collaboration across teams in India, Singapore, Tokyo, New York, and London

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Postgraduate degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a related field

• Strong familiarity with financial derivatives, including OTC derivatives and regulatory workflows

• Prior experience working in Financial Services IT and Product Management

• Excellent understanding of business analysis methodologies: requirement elicitation, documentation, use case and user story definition

• Technical proficiency with SQL, XML/FpML, FIX/ISO 20022, object-oriented languages

• Knowledge of UX design and wireframing is a plus

• Microsoft Office and Visio skills

• Commercial awareness with experience communicating complex technical and financial topics
