Associate Payroll Analyst

The Associate Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing payroll processes and activities for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and processes. As a member of the Global Payroll team this role will collaborate with Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, and HRIS teams to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be a team player with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate key findings effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on processing French payroll with approximately 100 employees, including processing of manual, adjustment, and off-cycle payments. Future opportunity for additional countries as a part of the Global Payroll team.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards by reviewing, processing, and auditing payroll and timekeeping records.
  • Maintain accurate employee data, including starters and leavers, employee changes, additional pay, banking, employee tax information, deductions, and garnishments via manual entry and system uploads.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll files, records, and reports to meet record retention requirements.
  • Prepare and submit accurate statutory reporting, including year-end procedures, for payroll, benefit, and tax programs as required.
  • Develop and maintain payroll processes and procedures, including time and absence system.
  • Collaborate with Finance team for payroll-related funding and account reconciliations.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries in a timely manner and escalate identified payroll or compliance issues to management.
  • Provide first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits administration and maintain employee maintenance related to starters, changes and leave events. Support HR team with benefit renewals, enrollments, and setup of new plans.
  • Provide backup support for other department members as needed, specifically related to items with French language requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations.
  • Participate in other projects or project teams as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in French payroll administration, payroll regulations and laws
  • Must be fluent in French with an advanced level of English
  • Knowledge of payroll software, including ADP, Workday, etc. as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Unrestricted work authorization in France or UK.
