The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is seeking applications for the position of Associate Professor in Management within the Department of Management. The successful candidate will become a key contributor to the Governance, Environment, and Technology academic group, aiming to develop it into a globally recognized centre of teaching and research in political economy. This position is an excellent opportunity for an academic leader with a vision to contribute meaningfully to addressing 21st-century political and economic challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development of the Governance, Environment, and Technology group.

  • Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the BSc Management, Masters in Management, and specialist Master’s programmes.

  • Engage actively in academic advising and mentoring of students.

  • Contribute to the broader intellectual and strategic goals of the department and school.

  • Produce and publish high-impact academic research in top peer-reviewed journals.

  • Contribute to research centres and interdisciplinary institutes affiliated with LSE, such as the Centre for Economic Performance and the Behavioural Lab for Research and Teaching.

Candidate Requirements:

  • PhD in economics, management, or a closely related social science or interdisciplinary field.

  • A strong publication record with multiple high-quality publications, including at least two considered world-leading.

  • Evidence of teaching excellence and the ability to supervise research students.

  • Demonstrated potential for academic leadership and active engagement with the global research community.

  • A clear and structured long-term research strategy with high potential for impact.
