Associate Site Manager

Description:

A leading quantitative trading firm in London is seeking an Associate Site Manager to join its global team. This role involves managing construction, expansion, relocation, and capital improvement projects across colocated data centers and high-performance office spaces. The ideal candidate will work closely with infrastructure stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure seamless facility operations, equipment commissioning, and infrastructure efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to develop and maintain standards and runbooks for data centers, offices, and colocation facilities.
• Oversee vendors by preparing and managing Scope of Work (SOW) documents and Requests for Proposals (RFPs/RFIs).
• Supervise construction fit-outs and build-outs, ensuring compliance with stakeholder expectations.
• Monitor capacity, inventory, and alerts, analyze key data trends, and propose strategic improvements.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to optimize infrastructure operations and reduce operational costs.
• Manage IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) processes across data centers and colocation facilities.
• Participate in scheduled facility-wide power-downs and ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
✔ Hands-on experience in data center environments, including racking, servers, and networking.
✔ Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase power calculations.
✔ Ability to interpret electrical and control diagrams.
✔ Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and efficiency.
