Associate Test Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer who would like to be part of a team delivering real value to people that need help during the difficult times of their lives.

You will be part of one of the largest contact centres in Europe with approximately 28,000 agents and 135 contact centres providing services to citizens within the UK and overseas. This capability is underpinned by a Genesys and Verint Contact Centre platform.

As an Associate Test Engineer you will help build and assure Genesys and Verint applications used by DWP staff and claimants. You will be part of a multi-functional agile delivery team and be an integral part of designing and building automated test solutions that enable the department to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our agents and claimants. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with others, actively seek input from colleagues and value a multidisciplinary team over hierarchy.

You will provide support to other members of the team and help build a re-usable strategy for assuring the quality of the services that the department delivers.

Job description

As an Associate Test Engineer within the contact centre team you will be responsible for testing all areas of the products including but not limited to functional, business requirements, performance, and accessibility.

You will work alongside other engineers both within the teams around you and the wider community to deliver consistent solutions and strategies.

You will be willing to challenge current processes and help improve the ways of working, as well as identify tooling that will drive innovation and constant improvement of both testing and products.
You will be responsible for producing test plans, test scripts, and identifying and documenting defects and managing their resolution.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
