Audiologist

Medics Pro is seeking a skilled and experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join their healthcare team on a locum basis. This role is focused on delivering high-quality audiological care for children, with an emphasis on Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) testing. The ideal candidate will bring strong diagnostic expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive audiological assessments, producing accurate diagnostic reports, and providing guidance to families and carers regarding hearing assessments and next steps. You will also work closely with ENT specialists, speech and language therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for infants and young children, including VRA, play audiometry, and tympanometry.

• Produce accurate and timely diagnostic reports.

• Collaborate with ENT specialists, speech and language therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Provide clear and empathetic advice to families and carers regarding outcomes and recommended treatments.

• Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards and national/local guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification.

• Registration with RCCP/HCPC (or eligibility).

• Strong clinical background in paediatric audiology, with expertise in VRA.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality care in a locum setting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with paediatric hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation.

• Previous experience within NHS or equivalent hospital settings.
