Azets invites applications for the Audit Graduate Programme starting in September 2026 at their Newcastle office. This opportunity is designed for graduates eager to develop a career in auditing and financial assurance. As part of the program, you’ll receive professional training, mentorship, and exposure to a diverse range of clients, enabling you to build strong technical and analytical skills.
From your first day, you’ll work alongside experienced auditors and managers, contributing to the firm’s Audit & Assurance services, which play a vital role in supporting businesses of all sizes across various industries. You will learn how to deliver high-quality audits that provide meaningful insights to clients while gaining hands-on experience and professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend internal audit planning meetings to understand client operations and audit scope.
Collaborate with clients to gain insights into their business processes and internal controls.
Conduct regular audit testing to ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with standards.
Use advanced audit tools to analyse client financial information and identify potential risks or discrepancies.
Review financial statements prepared by clients or Azets team members.
Communicate effectively with clients both in person and virtually to resolve queries and collect evidence.
Schedule and participate in regular progress meetings with clients and the internal team to meet audit deadlines.
Report inconsistencies between client-provided data and financial statements to audit seniors or managers.
Contribute to building strong client relationships and support team collaboration.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
Right to work in the UK from your start date.
Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills.
Interest in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (ACA – England & Wales / ICAS – Scotland).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
