Description:
A highly skilled AWS Platform Engineer (DevOps) is required by a leading consultancy, working with a diverse range of clients in both the Private and Public sectors undergoing large-scale cloud transformations. This role offers a unique opportunity for significant growth and the chance to make a substantial impact on enterprise-level cloud infrastructure.
As an integral part of the team, you will provide expert technical guidance in AWS while also mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge. You’ll bring a strong background in AWS cloud services, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Engineering & Automation: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure AWS cloud environments using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD & DevOps Implementation: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance within AWS environments.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to assess their infrastructure needs and provide tailored AWS solutions.
- Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and mentor junior team members while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring reliability and availability.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an AWS Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on consulting and cloud transformations.
- Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring & observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and team members effectively.
