Description:
Spire Cheshire Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced Bank Healthcare Assistant to join its Outpatients team. The hospital is proud to be rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is committed to providing patients with the highest standard of care, from consultations and diagnosis through to treatment and aftercare.
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Outpatients team by assisting with patient care across a wide variety of surgical and medical procedures. You will contribute to monitoring patients’ health and wellbeing, ensure timely communication of any significant changes, and help deliver the best possible patient experience. This role is flexible and designed to support during busy periods, sickness cover, and annual leave.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Outpatients team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Assist with patient monitoring and promptly report any changes in health status.
Support patient movement in accordance with hospital policies.
Assist with tasks such as ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, taking blood samples, and patient observations.
Contribute to quality improvements and promote best practices in patient care.
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience as an HCA or equivalent in a clinical setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
NVQ Level 3 in healthcare is desirable but not mandatory.
Practical experience in clinical skills such as ECGs, venipuncture, blood pressure measurement, and patient observations.
Working Hours: Varied shifts available, Monday to Saturday (bank/flexible).
Contract Type: Bank (flexible employment arrangement).
