Spire Washington Hospital, a 35-bed inpatient facility with 10 consultation rooms and 2 treatment rooms, seeks an experienced Scrub Practitioner to join its bank theatre team. The hospital offers four operating theatres with specialties in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, Neurology, Laparoscopy, Ophthalmology, and Urology.
The role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a flexible, part-time capacity, assisting elective surgical procedures, and maintaining theatre readiness and compliance.
Assist patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures including ENT, neurological, orthopaedic, laparoscopic, ophthalmic, gynaecology, and urology surgeries.
Prepare operating theatres and anaesthetic rooms with appropriate instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, minimizing waste.
Complete patient records promptly and accurately.
Manage theatre lists independently without supervision.
Contribute actively as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Registered with HCPC as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nurse.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to maintain high standards of patient care.
Enthusiastic about personal development and progression, with opportunities to undertake surgical first assist courses and specialize in various surgical disciplines.
Commitment to ongoing professional training, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Immediate Life Support (ILS), and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
