Bim Coordinator

 

Description:

SMC-Design is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join their London studio on a full-time basis. This key role involves providing BIM and Revit support, with responsibilities divided between project-specific tasks and general BIM/Revit activities. The BIM Coordinator will work under the guidance of the BIM Manager, focusing on technical upskilling, mentoring the team, and ensuring optimal workflows in Revit. The role also involves overseeing the production of coordinated models and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide BIM and Revit support for various projects, ensuring optimal team performance.

  • Oversee the production of data to facilitate consistent, high-quality project deliverables.

  • Mentor and upskill the team in BIM/Revit practices.

  • Ensure the team is working in line with industry standards and project-specific requirements.

  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless collaboration on design and technology integration.

  • Ensure the delivery of coordinated models and adherence to project timelines.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Expertise in Revit and other BIM-related software such as Dynamo, Navisworks, CDEs, Enscape.

  • Degree in Architecture/ID or Architectural Technology preferred.

  • Knowledge of UK BIM standards.

  • Experience across various architectural and/or interior design projects at different RIBA stages.

  • Ability to create adaptive and parametric components in Revit.

  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and solve problems methodically.

  • Enthusiastic and self-initiated, with a flair for design.
