Blockchain Engineer

As a Blockchain Engineer, you’ll be responsible for deploying, securing, and optimizing validator infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks. You will design and manage validator nodes, enhance automation workflows, monitor network performance, and implement robust security measures, ensuring high availability and performance for decentralized systems.

Working closely with blockchain protocols, foundations, staking providers, and infrastructure partners, you'll contribute to the evolution of blockchain participation and custody services. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure blockchain validator infrastructure.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure, system automation, monitoring, and incident response.

• Identify and implement automation or tooling improvements to optimize blockchain operations.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging blockchain and Web3 trends and technologies.

• Debug and optimize complex distributed blockchains and protocols to enhance participation.

• Implement observability tools and best practices to monitor infrastructure health, performance, and stability.

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous reliability and uptime of services.

• Contribute to the development of new product opportunities in the blockchain domain.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in software engineering or application development using modern programming languages (e.g., .Net, Go, Rust, C/C++, Java).

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, Bash, or similar, with an ability to automate manual processes.

• Experience with blockchain infrastructure or strong knowledge of blockchain concepts (proof-of-stake, Web3, RPC).

• Familiarity with compute-infrastructure systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization technologies (VMWare, Docker).

• Expertise in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).

• Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and network security.

• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills across multiple systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points:

• At least 2 years of protocol engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience operating Solana, Ethereum, or similar validation infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration systems.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and containerization.

• Ability to build backend services in addition to managing infrastructure.
