Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer

Description:

Galaxy, a leading digital asset and blockchain firm, is looking for an experienced Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, secure, and optimize validator infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks. This role involves designing, automating, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure to support decentralized networks.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance

• Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable blockchain infrastructure for validator nodes.
• Optimize validator operations for high availability, security, and performance.
• Implement monitoring, observability tools, and best practices to ensure infrastructure stability.

⚡ Automation & DevOps Integration

• Automate system workflows and deployment processes using scripting and infrastructure orchestration tools.
• Define Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform or similar tools.

📊 Monitoring, Debugging & Performance Optimization

• Troubleshoot complex blockchain and protocol issues to enhance participation.
• Implement security measures, including access control, encryption, and traffic filtering.

🤝 Collaboration & Strategic Implementation

• Work closely with blockchain protocols, foundations, and staking providers to ensure seamless validator operations.
• Identify and implement new product opportunities within the blockchain infrastructure space.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Education & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of protocol engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience.
• Hands-on experience with Ethereum, Solana, or similar blockchain validation infrastructure.

✔ Technical Skills:

• Strong programming experience in .Net, Go, Rust, C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in Linux systems, networking, and security best practices.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization (Docker, KVM, VMware, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, etc.).
• Working knowledge of blockchain infrastructure (Proof-of-Stake, RPC, web3, etc.).

✔ Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills:

🔹 Experience operating Solana, Ethereum, or other validator infrastructures.
🔹 Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration systems.
🔹 Knowledge of reading/parsing on-chain activity.
🔹 Ability to build backend services for blockchain infrastructure.
