Digital Transit Limited (DTL) — a UK-based technology innovator — is seeking a Business & Sales Executive to join their growing team in Lancaster. This role is ideal for a commercially driven, energetic, and ambitious individual eager to work at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and Net Zero technologies within the railway and critical infrastructure sectors.

DTL is a pioneering company delivering AI-enabled safety, operational technology (OT) cybersecurity compliance, and digital twin solutions that empower the sustainable digital transformation of transport and energy networks globally. With projects and collaborations across the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America, the successful candidate will gain exposure to international markets and cutting-edge innovations.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement and Lead Generation:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and collaborators.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK and international markets.

  • Support the sales cycle from lead generation to client onboarding.

CRM and Pipeline Management:

  • Oversee the company’s CRM system (HubSpot) to manage client data and track performance metrics.

  • Monitor and report on pipeline activity to support strategic planning.

Marketing and Digital Presence:

  • Develop engaging marketing content including blogs, case studies, and press materials.

  • Manage DTL’s social media channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, and others) to enhance visibility.

  • Create short-form videos and visual content for campaigns and promotional purposes.

Events and Trade Shows:

  • Represent DTL at trade missions, exhibitions, and conferences both in the UK and overseas.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations that showcase DTL’s innovative solutions to potential clients and partners.

Reporting and Business Support:

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior management to develop business proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.

  • Provide market insights to help shape DTL’s growth strategies.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or marketing, ideally within technology, engineering, or cybersecurity sectors.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in face-to-face and virtual client interactions.

  • Excellent writing ability for creating blogs, articles, and marketing copy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and CRM databases.

  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Presentable and professional when representing the company at events or client meetings.

  • Must be based in or near Lancaster (remote or overseas applications will not be considered).


Desirable Skills:

  • Awareness or understanding of AI, digital transformation, or cybersecurity technologies.

  • Experience in video editing, graphic design, or social media analytics.

  • Interest in international business development and global technology innovation.

  • Salary: Approximately £40,000 per annum (depending on experience).
