Business Change Lead

 

Description:

As a Business Change Lead you will be responsible to lead strong people and business change practices for allocated Transformation programmes and projects, working with key stakeholders including Functional Transformation Director, Programme and Project Leads, HR, Corporate Communications and the Group Transformation Office.
Your responsibilities:
The following activities and accountabilities are for each of the allocated programmes or projects:
Business change approach and planning
Lead business change within one or more transformation programmes, ensuring support for change, learning and communications as key components of effective readiness and adoption of changes to structures, processes, ways of working and tools.
Work with the Head of Transformation Communications/Communications Lead to ensure the communications are integrated into the overall business change approach and plan
Support the Functional Transformation Director/Programme manager and leadership to agree and communicate a clear vision and operating model, with defined responsibilities and ways of working.
Develop and agree the business change approach, recognising and reflecting interdependencies between projects.
Work with project managers to agree change scope and approach for each project and ensure change activities are incorporated within project plans.
Work with the functional Transformation Director/Programme Director and project managers to identify a network of business colleagues to own the delivery of change activities across the programme. An active change network/involvement of colleagues ensures that changes are aligned and embedded into existing ways of working.
Ensure a coordinated approach to change, communications and learning across all projects and the overall transformation programme, utilising the transformation standard and business change framework. Partnering with HR as needed.
Lead and coordinate the delivery of change, learning and communications and learning for allocated programmes/projects.
Partner with Communications Lead(s) to ensure clear and effective communication across impacted groups, as part of the overall change delivery
Guide and support project managers and teams in the planning and delivery of business change to improve readiness and support adoption of planned changes.
Ensure impacts to people, process, structures, data and systems are identified and planned across all projects and managed as an integrated change and people plan for impacted groups.
Guide and support project teams to develop & deliver project-level change activities and deliverables.
Coach project managers, leaders and project team members to increase their knowledge and capability in managing business change.
Ensure change-related measures are incorporated within KPIs and governance.
Support Communications led to monitor the effectiveness of communication actions to reach and influence key populations.
Conduct surveys and spot checks to track sentiment and confidence across the affected populations.
Business change management and reporting
Work with the relevant PMO to measure and report on the delivery and effectiveness of business change as part of the overall transformation.
Anticipate & proactively manage risks & issues to business readiness and adoption, with effective mitigating actions.
Ensure change, communications and learning deliverables are developed and delivered in line with the JM transformation standard to ensure consistency and avoid duplication of effort.
Building and evolving JM change capability
Understand and utilise the JM change framework and toolkit, contribute to its ongoing development and drive its use across JM
Support the development and delivery of learning events and opportunities to build broader JM capability in planning and leading change across the leadership and people manager communities.
Support HR as needed, to establish a process to identify and support key individuals and groups at risk of overload or uncertainty, including team members holding critical knowledge and people in “single point failure” roles.
Requirements for the role:
Knowledge of best practice in the domains of business change, culture change, communication, leadership, organisation design and learning
Experience supporting and shaping complex cross-business projects.
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, ideally in the context of implementing major operational change
Experience of working effectively in a matrix model involving multiple contributors
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, ideally in the context of implementing major operational change
Balanced outlook, setting ambitious goals for self and others, while recognising risks
Experience supporting and shaping complex cross-business projects.
Able to integrate, synthesise and prioritise multiple inputs and data sources.
