Business Development Executive

 

Description:

As Business Development Executive, your role will be exciting, challenging and varied. You will take responsibility for increasing the team’s referral client-base, including securing new large referral clients in line with the Department’s strategy and ambitions for growth. You will bring your significant sales and marketing experience to our team, using it to provide direct input into our Departmental strategy. You will work collaboratively with our partners and lawyers helping them to build, maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective clients and to implement their own sales and marketing plans.

Working closely with our central Marketing team and others across the wider firm, you will be a confident networker and experienced at following up on and introducing new client opportunities. Using knowledge of the team’s expertise, legal developments, specialist legal content and successful client events to sell the team’s services, you will target and generate new clients and increase take-up of our services by our existing clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Increase the team’s referral client-base, including securing new large clients.
  • Drive forward plans to enable the legal teams to win new business in line with its strategy.
  • Support our partners and lawyers to build high impact connections with key decision makers.
  • Implement metrics that measure the effectiveness of all activities to continually improve conversion, and
  • lead on activity follow-up / pitch de-briefs.
  • Drive forward the coaching and provision of high quality and effective business development advice to our partners and lawyers.
  • Take ownership of business development projects and initiatives and ensure their successful execution.
  • Planning, management, facilitation and subsequent follow-up of networking events to facilitate network building including, but not limited to, our highly successful Rutland Business Network.
