Description:
To generate sales to achieve agreed targets, by introducing new customers, whilst maintaining and developing the existing client base. Visiting Customers on a regular basis.
You will be working alongside the internal team, creating/working towards sales forecasts, managing customer appointments, and creating strategies to help the company reach new business opportunities.
Ideally you will be based in the Midlands, however as a field-based role you will need to have easy access to the main road networks, please inform us of your home location.
Key Activities / Accountabilities:-
To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
To undertake presentations, produce and present tenders and proposals for new business and provide quotations as required.
Build relationships
Regular sales visits with customers.
To monitor and report on current developments in the market and information on competitors.
To demonstrate effective time management, through efficient use of time and resources and well organised route planning.
To build and maintain effective working relationships
The successful Sales Executive will possess :-
Excellent communication skills to be able to build rapport quickly.
Minimum of 2 years' International Sales / Business Development experience
Strong grasp of customs both EU and non-EU requirements (recent, since Brexit) with EU Groupage Knowledge
Air and sea freight experience
Full driving licence
