Business Development Manager

I am currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a leading manufacturer of signs and display equipment

You will be working closely with the business development managers, sales director and the managing director to drive forward business.

The head office is in Cardiff with another branch in Worcester but the majority of the role you will be visiting customers and generating business. You will be responsible for your own sales pipeline, managing your own time and achieving results.

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager

• Research new prospects and generate sales from calling and visiting clients
• Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Manage existing accounts and upsell regularly
• Maintain and develop relationships with customers/prospects in person, via telephone calls and emails.
• Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with the marketing team.
• Promote best practice in sales delivery in all propositions and working practices. Ensure that continuous improvement forms part of every day.
• Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
• Deliver, and where possible exceed, results in line with agreed budgets and strategies.

Your skills/ experience as a business development manager

• Previous experience as a Business Development Manager within construction or the sign industry
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Confident sales person – self motivated
• Excellent sales and communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain excellent customer relationships
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload
• Strong attention to detail

• Salary of up to £30,000
• Commission paid quarterly
