What you’ll be doing
Generating specific market sector opportunities to develop and secure a range of Smart Solutions contracts capable of delivering the most cost-effective solutions to meet customer requirements whilst maximising value to SP. Feed market intelligence into strategic decision-making process for the successful delivery of targets liaising with the Head of Smart Solutions to ensure growth in line with strategic frameworks and market conditions.

Develop innovative solutions and bespoke contracts to meet customer specific requirements. Support and coach Account Managers to roll-out such contracts to other customers within the Smart Solutions Sales portfolio.

 

 

Develop and maintain a wide range of contacts across specific market sectors to ensure ScottishPower is visible within the industry and recognised as a market leader in the delivery of Smart Solutions contracts. Manage the overall relationship with key strategic customers where it is considered that further business development opportunities exist within the customer base or their sphere of influence

What you’ll bring

Experience of complex negotiations at a very senior external level, including 3-way negotiations with a wide portfolio of influencers and external stakeholders with differing interests. A flexibility approach and a willingness to change direction will work well in our environment where new products are being launched, new markets are emerging, and conditions may vary and affect strategic direction.

The ability to understand complexity quickly and make decisions with confidence and clarity based on that understanding. You’ll be a self-starter, work independently of others in a role is one that is complex, demanding and challenging. Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent with focus on numeracy or business or with relevant demonstrable industry experience and knowledge. You’ll bring effective communication skills with a background in analytical and problem-solving along with strong influencing and stakeholder management ability.

Sales focused, strong understanding of the value of service and customer engagement with experience in a sales or account management role, you’ll have a track record of managing third party providers and/or sales partners. In depth understanding of outsourced sales including affinity partnerships, call centre operations and sales partners and a knowledge of climate change and current UK targets to decarbonise and how this impacts businesses and consumers. A previous knowledge and work from within the energy and or decarbonisation industry including a working knowledge covering numerous departments would be desirable but not essential.
